Welcome from the Director

To that end, I am pleased to serve as the school Director for the Thalun International School, here in the heart of Yangon, Myanmar. Here at Thalun, we have a special community that knows “it is not what you have, but what you do with what you have that makes all the difference.”

Well, indeed, we have a great community, one that is not like any I have seen in my 30 years in an International School setting. As a Director, I have served in schools from Venezuela, to Monrovia, (Liberia, West Africa,) Guatemala and Burkina Faso. However, here our community at Thalun is indeed the heart of our school.

As we gear up for the 2024 – 2025 school year, I am pleased to be joined here at Thalun International School by my wife, Ms. Hassia Trudeau, an Upper School Math and Science teacher, and our daughter, Saleena, who will be in the Elementary Division.

Here, we are committed to give the same energy, excitement, and dedication that is needed to support Thalun International School on its ongoing journey of going from “Good to Great!”
