High school spans critical formative years on our journey of self-discovery. You must learn to navigate life’s challenges by artistically balancing diverse and sometimes conflicting responsibilities, maturing into self-sufficient, confident, well-rounded adults through experience and introspection. Thalun provides various opportunities for students to engage in hands-on academic, creative, and humanitarian experiences that help students evolve into capable global citizens.

Transitional Period
The high school years, or paper (transcript) years as they are often referred to is a period when students are increasingly required to work towards independence. Academic demands increase, while at the same time students are provided with greater freedom of choice and time. This is a period of tremendous growth, but can also be filled with the stress of preparing for life beyond school. Faculty and staff work closely with students to support and guide them in finding balance as they navigate this exciting period in their life.
Demanding Curriculum and Courses of Study
The high school curriculum offers a wide variety of courses within core subject areas such as ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies to electives in technology, visual and performing arts, physical education and social emotional health. Students are supported in challenging themselves academically and at the same time develop into confident, caring and responsible individuals. We are proud to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which support students in college readiness as well as demanding academic rigor.
Family and School Support
The partnership between parents and the school during these four years is crucial as we work together to support students in successfully graduating. Through Open House, coffee with the director, PTC and grade level parent information sessions we invite parents to participate and be partners in serving the needs of our students.
