In only a short period of time our whole community has changed the way we use technology. Starting at the beginning of the 2018 academic year all members of the staff and faculty began their journey towards becoming Google Certified Educators, and at this point more than 30% of our faculty and staff have attained this goal.
We see technology as another form of literacy, which is traditionally seen as reading, writing and the mastery of mathematics. Communication, and by extension literacy, now as often happens through video, online collaboration, programming and design.
Students access their classwork through Google classroom and collaborate through shared documents and hangouts, shared text, images and audio. Similarly teachers and staff use these tools to improve planning, collaboration, collect data and reach out to students and their family members.
